Celebrating World Intellectual Property Day with Free IP Clinics
Friday April 26 marks the World Intellectual Property Organisation’s ‘World Intellectual Property Day’, a worldwide celebration of creativity and the next generation of inspirational innovations. World Intellectual Property Day aims to:-
- raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trade-marks and industrial designs affect daily life;
- increase understanding of how protecting IP rights helps promote creativity and innovation;
- celebrate creativity and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies around the globe; and
- encourage respect for the IP rights of others.
We will be marking the occasion by offering a series of free IP clinics to all entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs. We will be looking to help parties get their designs, inventions and innovations off the ground by focusing on all relevant IP aspects, to make sure that those ideas are protected and able to flourish, fundamental to the growth and success of those businesses. The free IP clinics will be held across our offices in Birmingham, London and Southampton, starting on Monday May 20 2013 and thereafter every Monday in June. Clinics will also be offered at the Malvern Science Park on a date to be confirmed. Interested parties are encouraged to call or email ahead to make an appointment for either a face to face meeting, or a telephone conversation with one of the attorneys at the clinic.
